The Gift…

Thank you for all of the birthday wishes I received this week. I think back to all the gifts I received through birthdays past and find there is one gift that stands above the rest.
I have been given the gift of being able to see life through the eyes of my four-year-old and nine-month-old granddaughters. It has restored my faith in humanity.
It has opened my eyes again to the great possibilities in our lives and that every day we can see miracles unfolding before us. This gift has made me slow down and simplify my life. Imagination is our best friend. Every day is an exciting journey to learn about the wonders of the world.
Watch what a child is looking at, as their perceptions are so much wider than are own. Find something good about this day. Find something to enjoy and someone to love. Try something you haven’t done before. Look for joy in the simplest things and you too can start the journey over again with the open mind of a four-year-old.
