I remember this last summer when I was concerned about a colonoscopy that I was going to have on a Monday. The Friday before I was reading for a lady how wanted to talk to her mother. Her mom came through loud and clear and reassured her daughter that things were going to be alright about something the daughter was worrying about.

The mom then said, “Your colonoscopy is going to be clear.” It caught me off guard. I’ve never had the spirit connected to someone I was reading tell me something about myself. “I said excuse me?” and she repeated the message and said they knew I was concerned. She said everyone on the other side knows!That kind of blew my mind.

Whenever a Jockey had been bucked off in the starting gates and was very slow to get “tied back on,” someone handling another horse that was about to explode in the gates would yell out, “If you’re scared say you’re scared!” An about a dozen voices of gate hands and jockeys would say in unison, “I’m scared!” It’s ok to be scared.

But, I wish I could be like “Dandy” Don Meredith the former quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys. Jim Reeves of ESPNDallas.com recalled a story Walt Garrison told about Don Meredith on Dale Hansen’s Sports Special on WFAA on Sunday night.

 The Dallas Cowboys’ were taking a charter flight after a game sometime back in the late ’60s had just dropped 300 feet in a violent storm, like an elevator in free fall, and big, tough NFL football players were screaming and crying left and right. “They were running up and down the aisles” saying, ‘We’re all going to die; we’re all going to die.” “I looked at Meredith and he was sitting over there and he had him a cigarette – because he used to smoke back then (It was allowed on planes then) – and he had him a glass of scotch – because he carried it with him when he went on the road,” he recalled.

Linebacker D.D. Lewis sitting next to Meredith asked “Aren’t you scared?” “He took a drag off that cigarette and a drink of that scotch and said, It’s been a good ‘un ain’t it.'” Replied Meredith.

I can assure you that you won’t experience anything that you haven’t signed up for. I’ve been in so many near death experiences that I used to test fate. I didn’t think I’d live past thirty-five or forty anyway, so what was the harm? Now I know I worked my Guardian Angel nearly to death. He is working off some major karma to be assigned to me, but that’s another story. I believe everyone has a birthday and a death day. You, your guides and angels picked these dates before you came down here. You also came up with a list of everything you wanted to experience so it would evolve your soul. Nothing is fixed and nothing is predestined. We have free will and screw up a lot of stuff we were supposed to experience, because we’re a little hard-headed at times. I don’t want to know the future or what I signed up for. Just relax and know that everything is going to be ok.

By now I hope you know that you can’t die. Just trust your guides and angels will help guide you down the path that you planned for yourself. I know, “What the hell were we thinking?” Sit back and think of all of the great experiences that you’ve had in this life. If you don’t complete your list, you’ll have another shot. I’d like to think that you will live your life so at the end of it, you like Meredith will say… “It’s been a good ‘un ain’t it.”
