As perfect as you think your life is, you’re going to want a redo. A do over, a second chance, a fresh start, another opportunity, another chance, one more opportunity, at bat, one more down, another start, so you can do better.

We like to think we’re doing the best we can, but you’ll have to wait to see the replay. Your ego will screw with you and say you are the most important person in the world, but if you truly love someone else, you know that’s not true. Before you had kids it was all about you, your career and life. Sometimes it still is. But usually with kids, something changes in you and you want the best for them and you put their needs above your own.

Now imagine doing that for strangers or even friends. It’s like jumping to another level of consciousness. You don’t even know that son of a bitch, why would I make their life easier? It’s the difference in knowing better and living better. Forget about doing it for karma or being recognized for the effort. Just the thought of doing something for another human being or even an animal, and knowing you will see the big picture someday and sit back and enjoy the good things you did or made happen.

You won’t be sitting back too long. You will be begging for a do over. Just one more time, when you really know it may take more than a hundred to get it right, try to learn unconditional love and forgivness, just like we were taught by Jesus and Buddha. One more shot at glory, the perfectly lived life. Put me in coach, I can do it better! Just keep reincarnation in the back of your head, just in case.
